Your own assistant
You now understand how AI works. This six-part series turns it into your own assistant. Part one: teach AI who you are.
Introducing yourself every time
Every time you open a new chat, AI forgets who you are. You have to start over: what you do for work, what kind of answers you want.
A note stuck on the desk
Chat apps have a place called custom instructions. It's like a note stuck on the assistant's desk: every time you start, AI reads it first.
Before and after
Same question, but with this note the answer is shorter, closer to your work, and uses the tone you like.
What to write there
Just three things: who you are, whether you want long or short answers, and how you'd like AI to talk to you. Don't put passwords or account numbers here.
Prompts you type again and again
But what about the prompts you type over and over every day? Part two shows how.
