Every job is a bundle of tasks
Last time, we saw that every job is a bundle of tasks. So which tasks will AI take first?
SIGN 1
Repeated again and again
Sign one: it repeats. It's the same kind of thing every day, like entering invoices or answering customers' usual questions.
SIGN 2
It fits on a screen
Sign two: the work fits on a screen, as words, numbers or pictures. Hands-on work in a physical place is much harder for AI to reach.
SIGN 3
Clear right and wrong
Sign three: the result is clearly right or wrong and easy to check. Work that needs reading feelings or weighing many sides still stays mostly with people.
A look at a few jobs
Look at a few jobs: accountant, salesperson, office worker, teacher. Every one has parts AI takes first, and parts that still need you.
Where your value is
The "still needs you" column is exactly where your value is. Part three names those skills.
