Your own documents
AI has read a whole library, but it has never read your contract, your course book or your company rules. Ask about them, and it can only guess.
Give it the document
The fix is to give AI the document. For long documents, the system cuts them into many small chunks.
Chunks on the map of meaning
Each chunk is placed on the map of meaning we met in part two. The chunk about the deposit sits in one place, the chunk about repairs sits in another.
Find the right chunk
When you ask a question, your question is placed on the map too. The system picks the chunks closest to your question.
Read first, then answer
Then AI reads those chunks before it answers. It relies on what's written instead of guessing, so it makes things up much less. This is called RAG.
Problems with many steps
